To be completed alongside: The Sales experiment

Lean phase: Key metrics

Assumption: Most farmers have a form of communication medium that they can utilise to provide feedback to the FarmEd team.

Time Period: 2 weeks

Success metric: % of people who

  1. Have access to an internet connection

  2. Have access to a form of communication that we also have access to.

  3. Can give feedback through the app.

Criteria

Green light: Proceed with the implementing the next stages of the app.

Success point: If 80% of the farmers that we have been in contact with have some form of communication medium that we have access to.

Orange light: Record the farmers that use the communication mediums we have access to and tailor our responses towards those farmers. Research into local social medias that the majority of farmers use and utilise a feedback chatbox within the app.

Red light: Reconsider the use of communication mediums that we use and do thorough research into communication mediums that East Timorese use. Opt for local applications that provide us access to talk to Timorese farmers. Possible use of an artificial intelligence chat box that gives advice to farmers.

Failure point: If 35% of the farmers that we have been in contact with have some form of communication medium that we have access to.

Experiment build:

  1. Build a survey into what the farmers use as a communication medium

  2. Interview farmers to research this information

  3. Build rapport between yourself and the farmer

  4. Ask them what communication medium they use

  5. Record this into a survey.

Goals: Aim for 60 farmers to survey and see if they have access to the communication medium that we can provide.
